A monitoring and evaluation was conducted by Project Strive and BSE-DORP team on January 25 and 26, 2010 in the three pilot SOBE schools namely Bubon School for Philippine Craftsmen, Sumoroy Agro-Industrial School and Mondragon Agro-Industrial High School in Northern Samar.

Dr. Thelma C. Quitalig, School Division Superintendent of Northern Samar welcome the team composed of Mrs. Prudence M. Sanoy and Mr. Albert B. Erni from the BSE-DORP team; the STRIVE monitoring and evaluation team headed by Mr. James Lagria; and the Regional and Division monitoring and evaluation group of Northern Samar.

Based on SBM benchmark of improving access, among the best practices to augment drop-out reduction program of the monitored schools are :

• school entrepreneurship program for SARDO's of Mondragon Agro-Industrial High School and Sumoroy Agro-Industrial School where the students learn and earn while working in the school; and

• the SARAKYAN project of Bubon School of Philippine Craftsmen, a joint project of the school and LGU acquiring two vehicles that serves as free transport service of SARDO's student from their home to the school and vice versa.
